MUSCAT: Muscat Municipality has announced the temporary suspension of the lighting of the iconic “Muscat” sign located on Jabal Street in the Wilayat of Baushar to allow for scheduled maintenance.
The municipality said the lighting will be switched off for a limited period while routine maintenance works are carried out to ensure the landmark remains in optimal condition.
According to the announcement, the illuminated sign will be restored to normal operation immediately after the maintenance work is completed.

The municipality did not specify the duration of the maintenance but assured the public that the interruption is temporary and necessary to carry out the required upkeep of the landmark.
