MUSCAT : A man has been sentenced to six-months in jail after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol during the night movement ban in Muscat Governorate, Public Prosecution said on Thursday.
According to the Public Prosecution, the accused was also fined OMR 800 and suspended his licence for six months. “The court of first instance in the Governorate of Muscat convicted an accused for not adhering to the preventive measures, as he was caught driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol during the night movement ban,” the statement added.
