MUSCAT : The August 2026 seasonal bulletin indicates that rainfall across the Sultanate is likely to remain below the climatic average during the month, while temperatures are expected to stay above average nationwide.

The outlook forecasts rainfall in September to be around or below average, before increasing to above-average levels in October.

Temperature forecasts, however, show a consistent trend of above-average temperatures across Oman throughout August, September and October.

The Oman Meteorology department said the seasonal bulletin provides an initial indication of expected long-range weather patterns and is intended to support planning for the coming months. It stressed that the outlook should not replace regular short- and medium-range weather forecasts, which remain the primary source of operational weather information.
