MUSCAT : Oman’s side at the meeting was headed by Zaher Sulaiman Al Salmy, Deputy Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority for the Audit of Government Units.
The meeting discussed the 7th GCC Competition for Research and Studies in the Field of Auditing and Accounting, among other topics.
The participants looked into a proposal to establish an AI-powered platform that comprises the outcomes of the GCC Audit and Accounting Committee.
The meeting also reviewed a report on the findings of a study to assess recommendations that were made by winning research papers in the 6th GCC Competition.
The participants discussed the GCC Secretariat General’s report about training programmes implemented in 2025 and 2026. They also reviewed the agenda of the 23rd Meeting of Heads of GCC Audit and Accounting Institutions.
The meeting concluded with a review of activities that will be organized by GCC Audit and Accounting Institutions during the forthcoming “GCC Financial and Administrative Audit Week”.
