Oman announces 2026/2027 rehabilitation centre academic calendar for people with disabilities

The Ministry of Social Development has announced the academic calendar for the 2026/2027 rehabilitation year for government, private and non-profit rehabilitation centres for people with disabilities.

MUSCAT – According to the ministry, supervisory teams, rehabilitation specialists, administrators and other employees at government rehabilitation centres will begin work on Sunday, August 23, 2026, with the first semester running until Thursday, January 7, 2027. The second semester will commence on Sunday, January 24, 2027, and conclude on Thursday, July 1, 2027.

The rehabilitation year for people enrolled in government, private and non-profit rehabilitation centres will begin on Sunday, August 30, 2026, and continue until Thursday, January 7, 2027 for the first semester. The second semester will start on Sunday, January 24, 2027, and end on Thursday, June 24, 2027.

The ministry said the new academic year marks another step towards enhancing rehabilitation services and empowering people with disabilities, reaffirming its commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment across rehabilitation centres in the Sultanate.

The announced schedule applies to government-operated, private and non-profit rehabilitation centres serving people with disabilities throughout Oman.
