MUSCAT- Muscat Governorate today (Sunday) kicked off the Leadership and Innovation training programme, targeting numerous the Governorate’s employees. This programme, which targeted numerous the governorate’s staff and will run for five days, will develop human capital and boost the leadership and innovative capabilities of Muscat Governorate staff.

    The programme forms part of the Governorate’s strategic commitment to investing in national talent and enhancing the readiness of its workforce by equipping employees with modern knowledge and skills that enable them to lead change, improve the workplace, and develop practical solutions that contribute to advancing institutional performance.

    This programme combines both theoretical and practical sides. The theoretical element focuses on providing participants with modern concepts and scientific frameworks in leadership and innovation through modules covering innovative leadership, strategic and creative thinking, digital transformation, and institutional innovation. Thereby deepening participants’ understanding of contemporary leadership practices, fostering future-oriented thinking, supporting informed decision-making, and utilising digital technologies to achieve institutional excellence.

      The practical component is based on direct interaction and real-world applications through hands-on workshops, case studies of successful local and international experiences, and collaborative group projects. These activities are designed to strengthen participants’ skills in teamwork, planning and implementation, while transforming innovative ideas into practical initiatives that can be applied within the workplace.

      The programme aims to create a solid knowledge base in modern leadership and institutional innovation, enabling participants to translate their learning into practical approaches that improve organisational performance and deliver sustainable outcomes, while reinforcing innovation and excellence across the Governorate.

      Participants are expected to develop practical initiatives and improvement projects that can be implemented within their respective workplaces, prepare preliminary implementation plans, formulate personal development plans to enhance their leadership and innovation competencies, make effective use of the programme’s scientific models and tools, and measure their progress through pre- and post-programme assessments.
