MUSCAT : The ministry said the prequalification process is a key step towards advancing the project, which is owned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and aims to develop modern veterinary quarantine facilities through a public-private partnership model.

The four prequalified companies are Al Madina Logistics Services, Tianjin Ringpu Bio-Technology Company, EDECS Contracting Holding, and Arkan Logistics.

The Ministry of Finance said the project progressed through several stages, beginning with a feasibility study conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.

During the Request for Qualification (RFQ) stage, 25 companies submitted expressions of interest, while seven companies proceeded to submit prequalification applications. Following the evaluation process, four companies were selected to move forward.

The next phases of the project will include the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage, followed by contract award and signing.
