MUSCAT : The operation, carried out across 33 locations in Suhar after an extensive investigation and surveillance effort, targeted a sophisticated fraud network involving individuals from five Asian nationalities.

Authorities said the raids reflect the Sultanate’s high level of security preparedness and its continued commitment to protecting society and combating organised crime.

According to the ROP, officers confiscated more than 1,800 electronic devices used to facilitate cyber fraud and related criminal activities. Investigators also recovered illicit funds in more than 21 different currencies from multiple hideouts, residential apartments and hotels linked to the network.

The coordinated crackdown resulted in the arrest of more than 380 suspects, marking one of the largest operations against an international cyber fraud syndicate in the Sultanate in recent years.
