Oman’s transport ministry orders removal of vessels from Masirah Port by August 20

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has instructed owners of vessels and marine units stationed in the basin and at the wharf of Masirah Port to remove them immediately, with a deadline of August 20, 2026.

MUSCAT : The ministry warned that legal action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the directive.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, the ministry said vessels and marine units will only be allowed to enter the port with prior permission from the port authority for loading and unloading fish and ice.

The ministry also prohibited maintenance activities for ships and marine units inside the port, as well as swimming, littering and dumping waste in the harbour area.
