MUSCAT : The authorities advised motorists to inspect their vehicles before departure, check tyre condition and air pressure, maintain a safe following distance and ensure fuel levels are sufficient throughout the trip.
Travellers were also encouraged to carry a first aid kit, monitor visibility conditions, avoid speeding and refrain from overtaking except in designated areas.
The guidance comes as part of efforts to promote safe travel practices and enhance the tourism experience for visitors travelling overland to Dhofar.
