MUSCAT : The campaign, carried out by the Ministry’s Occupational Safety and Health Department in cooperation with the Directorate General of Labour in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, includes field visits to construction sites, major projects and industrial facilities.
The initiative focuses on raising awareness among workers about the risks of heat stress, encouraging preventive measures and ensuring compliance with the decision to stop work during midday hours in the summer months.
The ministry said the campaign reflects its commitment to protecting workers and strengthening occupational safety and health standards across Oman’s workplaces.
The Safe Summer campaign seeks to build a culture of workplace safety, reduce heat-related risks and support the creation of a safe and sustainable working environment across different sectors.
