MUSCAT : In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the Sultanate remains committed to cooperating with all stakeholders to ensure safe maritime navigation through the strategic waterway amid ongoing discussions surrounding shipping in the Strait.
The ministry emphasised that Oman is fully committed to its obligations as a State Party to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and underscored the importance of adhering to international legal principles governing maritime navigation.
It also called on all parties to respect and comply with international law.
