MUSCAT – Oman Meteorology said satellite images captured at 10:30a m on Sunday, July 12, 2026, showed suspended dust affecting coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, while low clouds and fog were becoming denser in several locations.
The weather monitoring update also indicated drizzle over the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjacent mountains, accompanied by cloud formations moving across parts of the governorate.
The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre said the latest imagery also tracks areas of possible convective activity, which may bring variable rainfall, active downdraft winds, and, during thunderstorm conditions, possible hail and lightning.
