MUSCAT – The initiative aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the industrial sector by helping participating factories assess their readiness for smart manufacturing, improve operational and production efficiency, and develop tailored roadmaps for adopting advanced technologies.
According to the ministry, the programme will help participating factories adopt Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies to improve productivity, enhance product quality, reduce waste and optimise manufacturing processes.
The second phase targets factories operating across a range of industrial sectors, reflecting the government’s broader efforts to modernise Oman’s manufacturing base and strengthen the sector’s contribution to economic diversification.
The ministry expects the programme to increase productivity, lower operational costs, foster industrial innovation and improve the competitiveness of Omani products in both regional and international markets.
