MUSCAT- Oman Across Ages Museum has launched a campaign, coinciding with preparations for the 2026 Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season. The initiative aims to promote museum tourism and encourage visitors traveling to Dhofar Governorate to include the museum among their tourist destinations, offering them an opportunity to explore its distinctive cultural experience, which showcases the historical and civilizational heritage of the Sultanate of Oman across various eras.

Eng. Al Yaqdhan Abdullah Al Harthy, Director General the Oman Across Ages Museum, stated that the campaign is designed to reinforce the museum’s presence on the cultural tourism map of the Sultanate and to highlight its role in presenting Omani civilizational heritage through its collections, artifacts and interactive halls.

He pointed put that the campaign encompasses a range of media and marketing programs across social media platforms and various media outlets, while also utilizing promotional materials at selected locations both within and outside the Sultanate of Oman. These efforts, he affirmed, aim to reach diverse visitor segments and familiarize them with the cultural and educational experience the museum offers.

He further noted that Oman Across Ages Museum plays a pivotal role in supporting cultural tourism by safeguarding national heritage and presenting it through modern exhibition techniques. This contributes to deepening awareness of Oman’s history and civilizational achievements while cementing the museum’s status as a premier destination for visitors and those with an interest in history and culture.

He explained that the campaign is part of the museum’s broader efforts to stimulate tourism activity during Khareef Dhofar season, strengthen the synergy between tourism and cultural assets, and contribute to showcasing the rich historical, heritage and cultural diversity of the Sultanate of Oman—aligning with the developmental objectives of the tourism sector and the promotion of domestic tourism.

It is worth noting that the museum’s previous campaigns have yielded positive results in attracting visitors, broadening the museum’s recognition and its facilities, and reinforcing its presence across various media platforms—solidifying its standing as one of the Sultanate of Oman’s most prominent cultural and tourism landmarks.
