MUSCAT: The agreement was signed at the Youth Centre headquarters by His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth and Chairman of the Youth Centre’s Board of Directors, and Hussein bin Hassan Jama Bait Ishaq, General Manager of Retail at Oman Oil Marketing Company.
The fourth edition of the programme will support 100 young men and women working as independent freelancers in the creative industries across all governorates of Oman. The programme will run from September to December 2026.
Alia bint Saeed Al Shanfari, Executive Director of the Youth Centre, said the partnership reflects the centre’s efforts to develop strategic collaborations with public and private sector institutions and provide programmes that equip Omani youth with professional and entrepreneurial skills.
She added that the programme aims to help participants enter the freelance market and transform their talents into sustainable economic projects and opportunities.
Hussein bin Hassan Jama Bait Ishaq said the continuation of the programme for a fourth year reflects the positive outcomes achieved through previous editions and highlights the role of partnerships in creating meaningful opportunities for young people.
