MUSCAT : The agreement was signed between the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of the Sultanate of Oman and the Directorate General for Civil Aviation of the French Republic during the State Visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to France.
According to the CAA, the agreement reflects the vision of His Majesty to expand Oman’s international partnerships and support the continued development of the country’s civil aviation sector through the exchange of expertise and technical cooperation.
The partnership aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation while supporting the implementation of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices across various areas of civil aviation.
The agreement covers cooperation in several key areas, including aviation safety, aviation security, environmental sustainability, air navigation, airport operations, economic regulation, legal affairs, training and the development of human resources within the two civil aviation authorities.
