MUSCAT : Held in the Wilayat of Ibra, the forum offered an opportunity to exchange experiences, explore successful practices and enhance integration among health institutions with a view to providing more efficient and sustainable services to members of the public.
Recommendations issued at the conclusion of the forum laid emphasis on the constant development of healthcare for mothers and children, notably by updating of therapeutic and preventive protocols and using performance indicators and health data as a basis for decision-making.
The forum also recommended the development of partnership and integration among health institutions, authorities concerned and society, in addition to the exchange of experiences to raise the efficiency of health services and support initiatives and projects to promote the health of women and children.
It is worth noting that the forum constituted a platform to review the efforts of the Department of Women and Child Health in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate and its strategic programmes. It included a presentation about the specializations of health departments and the national programmes listed in 5-year plan and Oman Vision 2040. It also reviewed health performance indicators and the achievements made during 2026 with the purpose of measuring their impacts.
