The newly launched Artaj application is designed to foster statistical awareness among younger generations through an interactive educational platform that combines learning and entertainment. The application introduces children to basic statistical concepts in a simplified and engaging manner, helping to cultivate data awareness from an early age.
The State Administrative Apparatus coordination portal will serve as a centralised digital platform for government entities, enabling the secure exchange of reports, studies, publications, survey findings and information. The portal is expected to improve institutional coordination, facilitate data sharing and support policymaking based on reliable information.
The Central Data Warehouse project, one of Oman’s strategic digital transformation initiatives, aims to create an integrated national platform for managing, consolidating and making data available to stakeholders. The project is expected to improve data quality and reliability, streamline data exchange between institutions and support planning, policy development and performance measurement through comprehensive national indicators.
According to NCSI, the three initiatives align with the objectives of the National Strategy for Statistics and Information 2026–2030 and the Centre’s Communication Strategy 2026–2030, both of which seek to expand access to reliable information, strengthen statistical culture and deliver innovative knowledge services to society.
The launch ceremony featured presentations on the three initiatives, highlighting their objectives and expected contributions to strengthening Oman’s national data infrastructure, accelerating digital transformation and enhancing government performance.
The initiatives form part of NCSI’s broader efforts to strengthen the national data system, consolidate statistical culture, and develop the digital infrastructure that supports development and decision-making, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
