MUSCAT – The Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), in collaboration with licensed electricity and energy sector companies, announced the launch of the Imtidad1 community solar station in Muscat Governorate. The project is the first operational facility under the Imtidad programme and marks the Sultanate’s first community-based solar energy station connected to the public electricity grid.
The solar station has a production capacity of approximately 1.5 megawatts and is equipped with nearly 2,000 solar panels, each with a generating capacity of 710 watts.
