MUSCAT – The CBO said the coin was produced in accordance with the highest technical standards and is made of pure silver (0.999). The coin has a nominal value of one Omani rial, a diameter of 38.61 mm, and weighs 28.28 grams.
The bank stated that 5,000 commemorative coins have been minted for the occasion, with 1,000 coins allocated for sale in the local market and 4,000 coins to be offered internationally through sales companies accredited by FIFA.
The Central Bank of Oman confirmed that the commemorative coin is legal tender at its face value and will be available for purchase from June 30, 2026.
The coins will be sold through the Central Bank of Oman branches in Ruwi, Salalah and Sohar, as well as the Oman Post sales window at Opera Galleria.
The price will start from RO 73 per coin, with the final price subject to possible changes based on global silver market prices.
