MUSCAT – In a notice issued, the FSA stressed that pharmacies that have not yet integrated with the platform must complete the process before the deadline to ensure seamless transaction processing and secure data exchange in line with the approved regulatory framework.
The Authority warned that failure to complete the integration could result in disruptions to health insurance-related transactions and services.
The notice referred to the Regulation on Electronic Integration for the Health Insurance System, issued under FSA Decision No. 83/2023, which requires health insurance practitioners to execute all health insurance transactions and exchange information through the Dhamani platform from the date a policy is issued until the end of its coverage period.
“Health insurance practitioners must execute all health insurance transactions and exchange information through the platform from the date the policy is issued until the end of its coverage,” the regulation states.
The FSA said the integration is necessary to enable pharmacies to process health insurance transactions through the national platform and to support the efficient and secure exchange of information among stakeholders
