MUSCAT – The Oman Society of Astronomy and Space said the evening sky is currently witnessing a striking astronomical phenomenon known as a ‘planetary alignment’, creating a beautiful scene that can be followed and observed during these days.
The society explained that the phenomenon involves the close apparent positioning of Venus, Jupiter and Mercury, with the crescent Moon passing alongside them in the western sky after sunset.
It clarified that the alignment is an apparent arrangement as seen from Earth and does not represent a true alignment of the planets in space.
