MUSCAT – The seizure was carried out by judicial officers from the Commercial Fraud Combating Department at the authority following investigation, surveillance and field follow-up operations that uncovered the violation.
The authority said the establishment was found using materials that had expired several years ago in the production and packaging of consumer goods, which were then placed in containers bearing recent dates. More than 100 containers containing expired consumer products and materials were seized.
The seized items were confiscated, and legal procedures have been completed against the violating establishment.
The Consumer Protection Authority confirmed that the action aims to protect consumer health and safety, strengthen market oversight and maintain a safe and regulated consumer environment, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to enhance quality of life and safeguard markets.
