MUSCAT – The programme, organised by the Ministry’s General Directorate of Arts, will run from June 22 to August 18 and targets students aged 8 years and above, offering training opportunities across a wide range of artistic disciplines.
The initiative aims to utilise the summer break by providing cultural and artistic programmes that support creativity, enhance skills and encourage participation in Oman’s cultural scene.

The programme includes workshops and courses in writing, children’s theatre performance, Arabic calligraphy, digital arts, photography, artistic content creation, drawing, painting, sculpture and various visual arts fields.

In the music sector, participants will have access to interactive courses on the use of artificial intelligence in music, as well as specialised training in instruments including piano, violin, oud and other musical instruments.
The summer package also features the “Stars of the Future” competition for students aged 11 to 17 under the theme “My Summer My Way”, aimed at discovering emerging filmmaking talents through short film production and visual storytelling.
His Excellency Sayyid Saeed bin Sultan Al Busaidi is the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, said the programme reflects the Ministry’s commitment to investing in young people’s skills and providing quality cultural initiatives aligned with the objectives of the Cultural Strategy 2021–2040.
He noted that the third edition of the programme introduces new areas including cinema, sound and lighting technologies, and artificial intelligence applications in artistic fields.
The Ministry said the initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to create a cultural environment that promotes innovation and provides participants with practical experience and specialised skills across creative sectors.
