MUSCAT : According to Ministerial Decision No. 79/2026, issued by His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, the annual leave period for municipal councils will commence on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
The decision was issued in accordance with the Municipal Councils Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 126/2020 and its Executive Regulations issued under Ministerial Decision No. 44/2022.
The ministerial decision stipulates that the annual recess shall last for two months and will be published in the Official Gazette.
