MUSCAT : This meeting came within the framework of the guests’ official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The Chairman of the State Council pointed out the development and cooperation in the Omani-Libyan relations across various fields. He highlighted this progress in light of the historical ties and deep-rooted bonds connecting the two countries, emphasizing the importance of continuing to build upon these relations in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two peoples.


The meeting addressed the course of bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Libya, along with ways to enhance and expand their horizons. Furthermore, the two sides reviewed a number of topics and issues of common interest at both the Arab and regional levels, actively exchanging views on them.
During the meeting, the Libyan delegation was briefed on several key aspects of the State Council, including its competencies and roles within the Omani legislative system; its designated tasks and powers; the stages of its developmental journey since its establishment and its ongoing contributions to supporting the comprehensive development march in the Sultanate of Oman.
The official visit programme for the Libyan delegation includes field visits to a number of institutions, projects, as well as cultural and developmental facilities. These visits aim to familiarize the delegation with the Omani experience in the economic, cultural, and developmental fields, while also allowing them to explore prominent national initiatives and sustainable development projects.
