MUSCAT : Oman’s Foreign Minister, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, received His Excellency GV Srinivas on Sunday to bid him farewell as he concludes his diplomatic assignment in the Sultanate.
During the meeting, Al Busaidi expressed appreciation for Ambassador Srinivas’ efforts in strengthening the longstanding ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India during his tenure. He also commended the ambassador’s contributions to enhancing cooperation across various fields and wished him success in his future assignments.
India and Oman share close historical, economic, and people-to-people relations, with the Indian community forming one of the largest expatriate groups in the Sultanate. The two countries have maintained strong cooperation in trade, investment, energy, education, and cultural exchanges.
