MUSCAT : The expansion will allow users to obtain document attestation services without the need to visit Omani diplomatic missions in the participating countries, streamlining procedures through fully digital processes in cooperation with Oman Post.
According to the ministry, the rollout will take place in phases beginning June 5, 2026, when the service becomes available in Morocco, Libya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
A second phase will commence on June 19, 2026, covering Zanzibar, Senegal, South Africa, and Kenya, followed by a third phase on July 6, 2026, which will include Mozambique, Ethiopia, Algeria, and Mauritania.
The service will then be expanded on July 20, 2026, to Mauritius, Madagascar, South Africa, Seychelles, and Australia, while the next phase on August 3, 2026, will cover New Zealand, Switzerland, Armenia, and Monaco.
The final announced phase, effective August 17, 2026, will extend the electronic attestation service to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Brunei Darussalam.
The electronic attestation service was first launched on January 23, 2025, and has since been progressively expanded to additional countries under a phased implementation plan.
The ministry affirmed that it will continue broadening the service’s geographic coverage in cooperation with Oman Post.
