MUSCAT: Construction of the City Walk project in Rustaq has reached a key milestone, with building works now 25% complete as the mixed-use development moves forward to become one of South Al Batinah’s largest integrated urban destinations.

The project, located behind Rustaq Referral Hospital, is being developed over a total area of approximately 28,000 square metres and is expected to boost economic activity, tourism and quality of life in the wilayat through a blend of commercial, leisure, healthcare and hospitality facilities.

According to project updates, all bridge and floor slab casting works have been completed, while construction teams are currently carrying out casting works for the ground-floor columns in line with the approved project schedule.

The development will feature around 7,500 square metres of built-up space spread across a range of multi-purpose buildings designed to serve both residents and visitors.

Once completed, City Walk will include retail outlets, restaurants and cafés, as well as a private medical clinic, a cinema and a children’s play area. The project will also house dedicated fitness centres for men and women, alongside a motel offering fully equipped guest rooms.

Developers said the project has been designed as a modern urban destination, incorporating landscaped green spaces, a central plaza, seating areas and water features to create an attractive environment for recreation and social activities.

The project is expected to strengthen Rustaq’s position as a growing commercial and tourism hub in South Al Batinah, while providing new investment opportunities and enhancing lifestyle amenities for the local community.
