MUSCAT – The campaign was conducted by the Consumer Protection Authority’s (CPA) department in Al Jazer in cooperation with the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Wusta Governorate and Al Wusta Municipality. The initiative targeted several commercial establishments across the wilayat as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen market oversight and protect consumer rights.

During field inspections, officials examined products displayed in shops and commercial outlets to verify compliance with approved standards, as well as relevant health and technical requirements. The inspections led to the discovery of pesticides that did not conform to established specifications, prompting authorities to take the necessary legal action and remove the products from circulation to safeguard consumer health and safety.

The campaign also focused on ensuring the availability of essential commodities, monitoring price stability, and assessing the extent to which commercial establishments comply with applicable laws and regulations governing market activities.
