MUSCAT : The General Federation of Oman Workers said the measure prioritises worker safety during June, July and August, when extreme heat conditions pose serious health risks to those working outdoors.
Under the regulation, all work in construction sites and other open areas exposed to high temperatures is strictly prohibited during the designated midday hours.
The restriction is part of Oman’s broader occupational safety framework aimed at reducing heat-related illnesses and ensuring safe working conditions during the summer season.
Authorities have urged employers to comply fully with the ban and adjust working hours accordingly to avoid violations and protect labourers from heat exposure.
