MUSCAT : Madinat Al Irfan has been named “Mixed-Use Development of the Year – Oman” at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2026, In recognition of its integrated mixed-use masterplan, long-term urban vision, and contribution to shaping a connected and sustainable destination for Muscat. The award marks the first international recognition received by development as it continues to advance into a new stage of growth, with key headquarters already operational, additional districts progressing, and new partnerships and investments continuing to accelerate the development’s growth.
Developed by Madinat Al Irfan, the area’s master developer and a destination of OMRAN Group, Madinat Al Irfan spans more than 7.0 million square metres and has been planned as a connected urban destination. Structured around distinct districts, the development has organically evolved into one of the capital’s largest urban projects, anchored by national institutions, business activity, hospitality assets, and public spaces designed to support long-term growth.
Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Al Salmi, General Manager of Madinat Al Irfan, said: “What gives Madinat Al Irfan its strength is the way the masterplan brings together scale, connectivity, sustainability and purpose within one destination. Each district has a role to play, whether through business, hospitality, public spaces or future residential communities, and together they create the conditions for long-term value. This recognition comes as more of that vision is moving into delivery, giving clearer shape to a city designed to grow with Muscat and contribute to Oman’s wider economic ambitions.”
