MUSCAT – The operation was carried out by the governorate’s fisheries control team in coordination with the Qurayyat State Coast Guard Centre, after receiving a report from a citizen about a suspected violation.
Authorities confirmed that the net was seized and impounded, and all legal procedures were completed in accordance with applicable regulations.
The ministry said the action is part of its ongoing supervisory efforts to protect fisheries resources and ensure compliance with fishing laws, while also praising public cooperation in reporting violations.
