MUSCAT – According to the ministry, the streamlined process aims to simplify procedures and enhance service efficiency for professionals in the sector.

The guideline states that the applicant must first log in to the Oman Business Platform and open a commercial registration, followed by adding the engineering consultancy office activity and upload the required supporting documents.

The eligibility criteria include a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent qualification, a minimum of five years of practical experience after obtaining the qualification, and proof of full-time dedication. Applicants are also required to submit a classification certificate from the Oman Society of Engineers.

Once submitted, the application undergoes review and approval, after which the applicant completes electronic signing and payment procedures before receiving the licence.
