MUSCAT : Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) announced its participation in the current edition of Oman Sustainability Week 2026 through a diverse package of activities that includes panel discussions, specialized workshops, and a joint pavilion with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) at the accompanying exhibition, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting sustainability practices and strengthening the role of the capital market in enabling the transition towards a green economy.
Through its participation in this national event, which will be held from 18–20 May 2026, Muscat Stock Exchange aims to highlight the importance of sustainable finance and the role of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting in attracting investments, in addition to showcasing its efforts in developing an investment environment that supports the transition towards a low-carbon economy, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. MSX’s participation is expected to include an integrated programme aimed at enhancing awareness of sustainability practices within the capital market and their role in creating value within Omani companies, in addition to promoting the transition from compliance to achieving sustainable economic impact, as well as sessions highlighting the role of female leaders in driving sustainability initiatives and strengthening their presence within the business environment.
Haitham bin Salem Al Salmi, Chief Executive Officer of Muscat Stock Exchange, will participate in the C-Level Roundtable facilitated by Ernst & Young, which will bring together a distinguished group of leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss strategic priorities and exchange views on the role of capital markets in accelerating the transition towards a sustainable economy.

The participation will also include a number of specialized workshops focusing on ESG standards, assessment and rating methodologies, and the role of data and financial analysis in supporting sustainability-related decisions, contributing to enhanced institutional performance and long-term value creation.
Through this participation, Muscat Stock Exchange reaffirms its commitment to continuing the development of the capital market in the Sultanate of Oman and enhancing its attractiveness to local and international investments in support of sustainable growth and in line with global sustainability trends.
Oman Sustainability Week is a leading national platform that brings together various sectors related to energy and sustainability and annually provides an enabling environment for dialogue, knowledge exchange, partnership building, and showcasing the latest solutions and trends in the green economy. This year’s edition is expected to attract more than 52,000 visitors, with the participation of over 110 exhibitors from more than 10 countries, further enhancing opportunities for knowledge exchange and exploring investment opportunities related to the transition towards a green economy.
