MUSCAT : Muscat Municipality has announced a partial closure of Al Khuwair Street, specifically the service road adjacent to Sultan Qaboos Street, as part of the Al Khuwair Route Improvement Project in the Wilayat of Bausher, Muscat Governorate.
The closure will be implemented in coordination with the Royal Oman Police and will affect a designated stretch of the service road. Authorities confirmed that the shutdown will be in effect from morning to evening on Friday, May 1, 2026, and will continue for the same duration on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
The municipality stated that the temporary closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing development works aimed at enhancing road infrastructure and easing congestion in the busy Al Khuwair area.
