Mahout records Oman’s highest temperature at 44.9°C as heat intensifies

Oman recorded scorching temperatures over the past 24 hours, with Mahout registering the highest at 44.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, according to data from the Civil Aviation Authority’s meteorological stations.

MUSCAT – Several other locations across the Sultanate also experienced extreme heat, with Fahud reaching 43.3 degrees Celsius and Qurayyat close behind at 43.2 degrees Celsius. Al Mudhaibi, Yaaloni, and Hamra Al Drooa each recorded highs of 42.9 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures in Muqshin, Bidyah, and Jalan Bani Buhassan climbed to 42.6 degrees Celsius, while Al Qabil registered 42.5 degrees Celsius and Haima recorded 42.2 degrees Celsius.
