MUSCAT: As Oman celebrate the 11th anniversary of Omani Women’s Day, the event embodies the prominent status accorded to women during the blessed renaissance.
Speaking on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, Her Highness Dr. Sayyida Mona bint Fahad Al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at Sultan Qaboos University said Omani women have proved their potential to contribute over the years to the society. “Omani women’s day not only means all women are celebrated and recognised for their efforts but it also comes to concede and appreciate their efforts to building a society and contributing to its upbringing as well,” she said in an interview with Oman TV.
“Yes Omani women have proved over the last decades their potential to contribute, to improve, and develop the society by taking different roles. They are mothers, doctors, engineers and from everything in different walks of life,” she noted.
