MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday stressed that dialogue and diplomacy must remain the primary path for resolving regional conflicts, saying sustainable political solutions are essential to reducing the impact of crises on the peoples of the region.

Speaking during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at Al Baraka Palace, His Majesty the Sultan said efforts to address ongoing tensions should focus on peaceful engagement and mediation rather than escalation.

According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), His Majesty Sultan Haitham said prioritising “the language of dialogue and diplomacy” in handling regional issues would help strengthen the foundations of peace and improve the chances of reaching lasting political settlements.
