MUSCAT : The newly introduced award reflects international recognition of the vital role played by the Sultanate of Oman in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, an essential component of humanity’s shared identity.
The award is designed to honour and promote efforts across a wide spectrum of cultural practices. These include traditions and oral expressions, performing arts, social practices and festive events, knowledge related to nature and the universe, as well as traditional craftsmanship and skills linked to handicrafts.
