MUSCAT – At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the guest, wishing him success in carrying out his national responsibilities to realize further aspirations of security, stability and prosperity for the Sudanese people.
For his part, the guest expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Sultanate of Oman under His Majesty’s leadership to support endeavors aimed at resolving the conflict in Sudan through dialogue and peaceful means, enhancing national unity, and prioritizing the national interest.
The meeting addressed the cordial and close ties binding the two countries, which are built upon firm foundations of mutual respect and constructive cooperation. Both sides affirmed the importance of boosting areas of partnership in a manner that aligns with the developmental aspirations.
From the Omani side, the meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office.
From the Sudanese side, it was attended by Muhi al-Din Salem Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Director General of the General Intelligence Service and Issam Awad Ahmed Metwally, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Sultanate of Oman.
It is worth mentioning that the guest had arrived in the country earlier today. He was received and seen off at the Royal Airport by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department at the Foreign Ministry and members of the Sudanese Embassy in Muscat.
