MUSCAT : During the visit, the President and his delegation were briefed on the integrated system of the port and free zone, which serves as a strategic logistics hub connecting businesses to regional and global markets, supported by a strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and modern logistics services.
He also received a detailed presentation on operational efficiency and competitive advantages that reinforce Sohar Port and Free Zone as a reliable and sustainable industrial and logistics platform.
The delegation toured several high-value investment projects, including the United Solar project for polysilicon manufacturing and the Orion Solar project, which specializes in the production of solar cells and photovoltaic panels.
The President was accompanied by His Excellency Abdul Salam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, His Excellency Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, along with several senior officials.
