MUSCAT – The large-scale afforestation drive includes native species such as Sidr tree, Ghaf tree, Samr tree, and Qart tree, selected for their resilience to arid conditions and ecological importance.
The initiative aims to rehabilitate natural habitats, enhance wildlife sustainability, and strengthen ecosystem resilience in one of Oman’s key conservation areas.
It also aligns with national environmental priorities under Oman Vision 2040, which emphasises sustainable development, natural resource conservation, and climate resilience.
