Muscat: The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has urged airlines to steer clear of the region’s airspace until April 24, as conflict in the Middle East continues to disrupt global aviation operations.

The advisory comes after nearly six weeks of escalating tensions, which have significantly impacted air travel across the region. Airlines have been forced to reroute flights, resulting in longer travel times and increased operational costs.

One of the most pressing concerns has been the sharp rise in jet fuel prices, adding further strain on carriers already navigating complex route changes. Additionally, widespread flight cancellations across the Gulf have left passengers facing uncertainty and delays.
