MUSCAT : Applications can be submitted either through the Muscat Governorate website or directly via the Wali’s office in the relevant wilayat. Applicants are required to download the application form from the official website, complete it, and send it via email to the concerned department. The form is available at gom.gov.om.
The application process involves three main steps:
- Submission: Applicants fill out the form, attach the required documents, and submit it to the authorities.
- Review: The relevant department reviews the application for completeness and presents it to the designated committee, which conducts a site visit.
- Approval: Applicants are informed of the decision. If approved, the request is forwarded to the relevant municipality to complete the permit and installation procedures.

Residents must ensure the following documents and conditions are met:
• Documents:
o List of applicants’ names and signatures
o Copy of applicants’ national ID cards (both sides)
o Aerial photograph of the proposed site
o Site map
o Any additional supporting documents
• Requirements:
o At least 10 residents from the area must submit the request collectively
o Applicants must agree to bear the costs of implementing the speed bumps after approval
o Commitment to maintain the markings and repaint the speed bumps as needed
