MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police, represented by the General Directorate of Customs, has called on all shipping agents and shipping line agents to submit cargo manifests electronically via the Bayan system at least 36 hours before vessel arrival, effective May 3, 2026.
The measure, outlined in Oman Customs Update No. (3), is part of national efforts to streamline trade and enhance the flow of goods within an integrated customs system.
The directive follows Royal Decree No. 28/2026, which amended provisions of the GCC Common Customs Law.
