MUSCAT – Under the updated facilitation package, empty containers may now enter and exit Oman without a customs declaration, with screening devices sufficient for inspection. Transit declarations can be completed from the port of entry to the port of destination using the booking number, and only containers that have physically arrived will be released.

Additionally, vehicles and equipment arriving from GCC countries will only require a transit declaration, with no need for a customs card or export certificate.

The Royal Oman Police, through the Directorate General of Customs, affirmed that the measures are part of its ongoing commitment to support the business community and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of transit goods across Oman.
