MUSCAT — Authorities in Oman have arrested two citizens after their vehicle was swept away while attempting to cross a flooded wadi in the Wilayat of Bidiyah, the Royal Oman Police said.
Police said the individuals were detained by the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command after they attempted to drive through a wadi despite dangerous conditions, putting their lives and those involved in the rescue at risk. The vehicle was carried by strong water currents during the incident.
Authorities confirmed that the two have been referred to judicial authorities to complete legal procedures against them.
