MUSCAT : German President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier condemned attacks targeting the Sultanate of Oman and several Gulf countries during a telephone call with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, as the two leaders discussed the escalating military situation in the region.
According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), the call focused on the latest developments related to the rising military operations in the region and the potential repercussions on the security and stability of countries.
During the conversation, the German President expressed his condemnation of the attacks that targeted Oman and a number of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, underscoring the need to prevent further escalation.

Both leaders stressed the importance of halting the ongoing conflict and called for adherence to international law.
They also urged all parties involved to return to dialogue and diplomatic channels in order to address the causes of the crisis and safeguard regional and global stability.
The two sides reiterated that diplomacy remains the most effective path to preserving the sovereignty of nations and strengthening peace and security in the region amid growing tensions.
